Who qualifies
- Africans based in Africa or the Diaspora, under 35, able to work in English or French, with a track record of work challenging stereotypical narratives about Africa, at least two years of related experience, and a minimum of 5,000 followers across Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Categories: media/content creators (journalists, bloggers, vloggers, podcasters, writers, photographers) and artists (poets, musicians, dancers, painters, animators). Filmmakers are explicitly ineligible for this fund
Good to know: Micro-grants for short-term projects (3–6 months). Applications are open until the end of the year or until 12–14 storytellers are selected; assessed on a rolling basis. Africa/Diaspora-focused; filmmakers should see ANF's Last Mile Film Fund instead.
