Who qualifies
- Professional dancers, 21+, residing in the U.S./DC/Tribal Nation/U.S. territory, with at least five years (since 2021) as a paid live dance performer with at least one paid engagement annually
- income of $80,000 or less individual / $160,000 joint (average of last two returns)
- not enrolled in a degree program
- experiencing a dire financial emergency within the last six months due to loss or lack of live performance work beyond their control
Good to know: Covers up to three months of essential expenses (rent, utilities, food, healthcare, transportation). Cycle 26 closes Oct 6, 2026; Cycle 27 opens Nov 10, 2026, closes Dec 8, 2026. Self-produced online-only performances (TikTok/Instagram) do not count toward the performance-history requirement.
